New Sydney Qantas First Class Lounge Reviews

Tired of reading about COVID-19? We’ve got you covered—now you can read about lounge reviews here at Premium Travel Insider. We kick off our brand new airport lounge review feature with our new Sydney Qantas First Class Lounge Reviews. Over the upcoming weeks, we’ll be changing gears from airlines to lounges and slowly adding some of the biggest hubs in the world to our aggregated review list.

Our lounge reviews are very much a beta product for several reasons. First, we’re still ironing out the format. This will change over time, but for now I think we’ve got a good start. Second, as we build out our reviews, we’ll be creating airport-specific landing pages. This will take time, of course, as we grind through each airport. But for now, on to our new Sydney Qantas First Class Lounge reviews! Click here to jump to the detailed page; otherwise read our summary below.

As a reminder, Premium Travel Insider aggregates reviews from around the web and scores them on a 1-3 scale. A 3 indicates that a given category exceeded reviewer expectations, a 2 indicates it met expectations, and a 1 failed to meet expectations. You can learn more about our methodology here.

The Top Line

The Sydney Qantas First Class Lounge is a flagship lounge for the airline, and the experience lives up to what you’d expect. All eight of our reviews scored the overall experience a perfect 3/3. Notable amenities of the lounge include:

  • A la carte dining
  • A spa with complimentary 20-minute treatments
  • An excellent champagne selection
  • Bar with cocktails
  • Barista-made coffee

One thing to note is the level of detail of these reviews was a bit below average at 1.88/3; some reviews were not as thorough as we’d like in assessing the lounge.

What’s Great

Reviewers loved quite a bit about the lounge. Nearly every category—dining, drink, views, and the bathrooms—scored perfectly. The fried salt and pepper squid dish is viewed as a must-have. The lounge has incredible panoramic views for plane watching while sipping on your fancy champagne.

What’s Not

Nothing is bad per se in the lounge, but there are two things to be aware of. First, it does get pretty busy. However, the design and size of the lounge masks the crowd very well, which is a good thing. Second, power outlet access is average at best, and limited to Australian outlets only.

What’s Unknown

None of the eight reviews addressed the cleanliness of the lounge directly. However, multiple reviews mentioned the frequent attentive staff, so we assume that the lounge was sparkling. Second, we only had one review of the WiFi speed, which reported the WiFi as excellent. It may be that visitors are too busy dining and drinking and watching planes to bother with work and WiFi!

Is the Sydney Qantas First Class Lounge Worth a Stop?

Based on our new Sydney Qantas First Class Lounge reviews, this is an aspirational lounge worth spending as much time as you have. The incredible food, drink, and views make this a wonderful lounge to pass the time in. The 20-minute spa offerings are also a nice way to pep up before flying. You’ll enjoy your time at this incredible lounge!
