Air China has an acceptable first class product. Air China first class reviews noted that the hard product is generally great, with a large, spacious seat, and the service is well-intentioned and friendly, if not the most polished. However, concerns were cited with the food and drink, with some reviewers reporting food that was unappetizing or inedible, or at best, business class grade. Some good wines can be on offer, but the overall drink program is generally below a first class product.

IFE screens vary in quality based on the aircraft, and western selection of shows is generally limited. Amenity kits and bedding are also reported as below average. In general, Air China meets the expectations of reviewers as being acceptable, particularly the seat, but is not considered competitive with other first class products. WiFi is not reported as available.

It is important to note that some reviews of this product were older, but newer products still reported the same concerns with regards to soft product.
