Spanish-based Iberia is considered an acceptable — borderline good — business class choice by most bloggers and reviewers, scoring a 2.19/3 overall and a 2.03/3 “Big 5” score. Iberia’s hard product is considered acceptable, with a solid lay flat seat. However, the soft product is extremely varied. Some bloggers and reviewers had excellent food, drink and service experiences. However, others reported bad service and inedible food. Of note, Iberia does serve some interesting Spanish wines, including Cava instead of champagne and various sherries. The lack of consistency is perhaps the biggest point of concern.

IFE was also varied – the selection was generally decent, but the hardware itself varied from old to new and crisp, depending on aircraft age. Business class travelers get free WiFi vouchers for a set allocation of data, but many people reported inoperable WiFi for their flights. When the WiFi did work, it seemed to work well. Lavatories were quite poor, with reviewers often reporting they were not kept in good conditions throughout the flight.

Finally, bloggers and reviewers noted Iberia often has good paid fares as well as good saver availability with minimal fuel charges. These prices make Iberia an attractive selection, particularly for quick transatlantic flights.

What to Look Forward To: Solid seat; interesting selection of local Spanish wines, Cava, and sherries
