Premium Travel Insider has added our newest business class airline: KLM. Based out of the Netherlands, KLM has an extensive network and an interesting rewards program that is partnered with Air France. The airline is a good choice if you’re traveling to the Netherlands or connecting beyond in Europe. Read on to learn more about our new KLM business class reviews and what you can expect.
As a reminder, Premium Travel Insider aggregates reviews from around the web and scores them on a 1-3 scale. A 3 indicates that a given category exceeded reviewer expectations, a 2 indicates it met expectations, and a 1 failed to meet expectations. We evaluate a variety of categories, the most important of which we call the “Big 5” that are most important to a premium travel experience: seat, food, drink, service, and in flight entertainment. You can learn more about our methodology here.
The Top Line
According to our new KLM business class reviews, the airline scored a 2.25/3 overall, which is a good rating. The “Big 5” scored a 2.18/3, which is an acceptable rating, just barely under the “good” range. This is a relatively minor disparity, and in general flyers can expect a good flight when flying on KLM. Our initial batch of KLM reviews include 12 reviews from nine different sites, and an overall “level of detail” score of 2.17/3. This means we have above average confidence in these reviews due to a large number available of above-average quality.
What’s Great

The IFE also scored a great 2.45/3, for both selection and screen quality. Uniquely, KLM provides collectible Delft Houses filled with a local gin, genever, to all business class passengers. Each house is based on a real home in the Netherlands, and there are now 100 available—making them highly prized AvGeek collectibles!
What’s Not
Several categories scored in the below-average range for KLM. These included food (1.83/.3), drink (1.78/3), lavatory (1.80/3), and amenity kit (1.70/3). Of note the bedding scored quite low, at 1.50/3. There were many nuances to these low scores, so make sure to check out our full KLM business class reviews to see why KLM scored low in these categories.
