July 2019 Expanded Business Class Reviews

We are excited to add an additional 26 new reviews to Premium Travel Insider with the July 2019 Expanded Business Class reviews!  These reviews include two all new airline additions—Emirates Business Class (12 reviews), Austrian Airlines (8 reviews)—as well as six additional United reviews.  This brings our total up to 120 Business Class reviews.  A few notes about each:

Austrian roared into the “best food in the sky” scene – scoring a perfect 3.0/3.0.  Reviewers are picky, but the food, drink and service of Austrian is renowned and carried through the reviews.  On the other hand, reviewers noted the somewhat small and cramped business class seats, with just a mediocre 2.00/3 on seat.

Emirates is known for its incredible first class product, but its business class is no slouch either.  A great 2.50 overall experience and excellent 2.54 Big 5 average represents a very nice business class experience.  Excellent IFE, food, drink, and service all helped power these high scores.  Reviewers noted the seat was good, but nothing special.  A rare treat is the Emirates bar on the A380, which business class travelers have access to.

Expanded United Business Class Reviews

United was already in our system, but we expanded from seven to 13 reviews, and from three different sites contributing to seven.  These added reviews didn’t change the existing averages much from the first batch.  Overall experience went from 2.50 to 2.54, and Big 5 from 2.23 to 2.30.  Reviews remained relatively consistent.  One thing I noted was a few reviews from when United Polaris first launched—before the cutbacks that ended welcome chocolates and fancy glassware for departure beverage, among other things.  Oh United, why must you taunt us so.
